Vanessa Ballard is a board-certified adult and geriatric nurse practitioner and a certified athletic trainer. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Vermont, where her quality improvement research focused on expanding provider knowledge of EDS in primary care. Her personal journey with hEDS informs her patient-centered, empathetic approach. With expertise in primary care, musculoskeletal medicine, and complex conditions such as POTS, MCAS, and lymphedema/lipedema, she provides urgent visits, musculoskeletal evaluations, nutrition coaching, neurodiversity informed care, and care coordination. Vanessa integrates her athletic training background with advanced clinical skills, and her own journey with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, to deliver holistic, functional care.
